Law "On general secondary education"

   The Legislation of Ukraine on general secondary education is based on the Constitution of Ukraine and is derived from the Law of Ukraine "On Education", the Law "On General Secondary Education" and other regulatory and international acts of Ukraine The law defines the legal, financial and organizational foundations of the development of the general secondary education system.

 

The main tasks of general secondary education are

-       fulfilling the requirements of the State Standard of general secondary education, preparing students for further work;

-       formation of personality, outlook, development of student abilities and scientific outlook;

-       ensuring the right of citizens to access and free general secondary education;

-       implementation of students' right to free formation of political and ideological beliefs;

-       determining the responsibilities of participants in the educational process, establishing responsibility for offenses.

General secondary education is the process of students acquiring the necessary knowledge, views and outlook for intellectual, physical and social personality development. The formation of universal human values, which is based on the principles of humanism, mutual respect between nations, peoples in the interests of the family, society, and the state. The law establishes the term of education, the organization of the educational process (plans and workload of students), the rights and obligations of participants in the educational process.
