10 правил протидії торгівлі людьми

In the lexicon of modern Ukrainian society, the term "trafficking" or "trafficking in people" is increasingly used. It would seem that humanity has long forgotten about the phenomenon of the slave trade, which most of us associate with ancient and medieval history - serfdom, "black slavery" and other similar phenomena. However, as evidenced by the facts, the slave trade is  quite a modern reality, whose existence has a powerful economic basis. This problem has a global character, because a person of any age, gender, origin, with any education and level of wealth can suffer from human trafficking.

Remember and tell your family and friends about 10 safety rules:

  1. Do not believe the advertisement of a company that does not meet the requirements of the legislation of Ukraine (does not indicate the full name of the company, its address, license number and the licensing authority that issued it). Traffickers can mislead you by using:

  • Various intermediary firms for employment abroad

  • Travel, marriage and model agencies, dating services, show business agencies

  • Announcements, advertising in mass media and the Internet

  • Strangers, and sometimes even your relatives, friends, neighbors, acquaintances.

  1. Do not discuss education, employment or marriage alone with the agent

  • Invite a trusted person to take part in the negotiations - it can be your lawyer or someone close to you.

  • Check whether the company has a license to provide relevant services (training, employment abroad). You can get such information at  State Employment Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of Ukraine.

  1. Contact the Embassy of the country where you are planning to travel and find out about the rules regarding the employment or study of foreigners.

  2. Personalize the package of documents and pay for the services yourself. This will prevent human traffickers from getting you into debt or committing crimes against other people based on your documents.

Do not use the services of strangers who offer you help in processing exit documents, extending the period of stay in the territory of a foreign country.

Keep in mind:

•      The period of stay   is indicated in the foreign country.

•      A tourist or guest visa does not give the right to legal employment.          _cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

         Це незаконно.

  1. Be sure to conclude the appropriate contract, drawn up in a language you understand, in two copies, one of which remains with you.

  2. Under no circumstances should you trust your identity documents to anyone.

  3. Be sure to leave a photocopy of your Ukrainian passport, foreign passport, visa, study or employment contract, birth certificate, travel documents, and recently taken photos, as well as the phone number and address where you are going to stay, with your relatives.

•      Make it a rule to always call your relatives on the agreed day and time. Agree on a "code word" in the conversation with your relatives in advance, in case you cannot talk freely on the phone while being under someone's supervision.

  1. Make and keep copies of your national and foreign passports. This will greatly simplify the procedure for restoring documents for returning to Ukraine.

  2. Do not put yourself in a dependent position by accepting gifts or borrowing money

  3. If you find yourself in a difficult situation outside of Ukraine, contact for help:

  • Embassies or Consulates of Ukraine in the country of your stay, where they will help you obtain documents certifying your identity and return to the Motherland.

  • The National Society of the Red Cross or the Red Crescent, where you can be given the opportunity to reconnect with relatives and inform them about your predicament.

  • International, public, charitable organizations, where you can also get help and support.

•      Prepare in advance and keep with you a list of organizations with addresses and phone numbers working in the field of anti-trafficking .

NOW you know more about the problem of human trafficking and can protect yourself!

Which is better: knowledge or grades?

It is safe to say that half or more

most of the worries and anxieties of schoolchildren   are related to academic performance, and this is not surprising, because   from grades (more precisely, from the knowledge you have, and _cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_grade     shows their level) depends on successful completion of school, good work, parental approval. Unfortunately, the desire to get a good grade often leads to rivalry;   self-affirmation   among classmates becomes more important than the actual study and acquired knowledge.

Therefore, it is important to consider grades not as an end in themselves (to be good, high), but as an indicator of your success, your knowledge.

cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d luck, such fate, the weather is bad, noise in the yard, a neighbor snoring, etc. In fact, the real reason is ordinary laziness.

Yes, your success at school largely depends on you, your desire to learn and conscientious attitude to classes.

Apparently, you need to organize yourself and set a specific goal.

Maybe you should devote more time to homework. Maybe you spend too much time talking on the phone, watching TV, playing computer games, or going for walks?

You can even hang a sign on the phone or TV — "not until I do my homework!"

Over time, the need for a tablet will disappear, because you will be in complete control of the process of completing the lessons, and you will deny yourself entertainment until you get the job done.

Accustom yourself to the fact that homework is not something that should be "shoved" and forgotten. It is best to do lessons in the same place at a certain time. In this way, regular classes become a habit of working and an increasing desire to learn will appear.

Also important is your understanding that everything you study - facts, events, numbers, laws, regularities -   are interconnected. Therefore, try to compare what you are studying with what you already know.

Do not forget about the practical value of the knowledge you acquire. Look for more meaning in your studies for yourself.

Grades, no matter how important they are, do not determine your worth in any way. And yet, try not to waste time at school and study better. Then your efforts will turn into new success and joy for you and the people close to you.

Social teacher Karazia M.V. conducted an educational conversation with students of grades 8-9 on the topic "Drug addiction - the path to the abyss" and talked about how not to condemn one's life to a bad habit.
